It's been a dream of mine to have a room dedicated to my hobbies. To close the door and continue the next day, not having to clean up in between and being able to continue right away. I wanted this space to feel inspiring, creative and colourful. There were lots of DIY projects in this one - which I loved, because that's exactly what I want to use the room for!
This video below explains all the changes I made to the room in a few minutes. Walls were painted, cabinets were made over (the most time-consuming but rewarding project!!), chairs upholstered, mirrors painted and more! Finally, the amazing curtains that were custom-made by Kaschuba Hommage tied everything together perfectly!
I learnt a lot of things during this project! The first one is to keep holding on to the vision. I had to admit, I was hesitant about the colour pink. When first painted, I really disliked the way it looked with the white cabinet and black desk legs. That's when I pushed and kept going, because I knew that the final colour palette would make it worth it! One other setback was painting my cabinet: I chose the wrong colour yellow to begin with, and had to sand it off completely. Oh well... In the end, the space turnt out so cosy. I've found myself using the room a lot more than before, which is great. Let's keep creating!
